(USA) Senior Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC

Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician Location: Grove City, OH; Newark, OH. Full‑time. Shifts may vary. Position Summary Support and oversee the repair of Walmart facility refrigeration HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills. What You’ll Do Maintain and repair refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using hand tools, digital tools, and power tools. Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support store associates, and document repair activities. Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues. Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely. Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following Walmart’s refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines. Lift up to 75 pounds, use ladders, and work at heights frequently. Minimum Qualifications 10 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance. Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling. Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record. 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience. Completion of a 2‑year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2‑year associate’s of applied science in A/C and refrigeration. Excellent driving record. Prior work experience with glycol and CO₂ systems. Compensation and Benefits Hourly wage: $26.00 – $51.00 per hour (plus applicable premiums).
