Our system extends to the Maria Parham Franklin facility in Louisburg, which features a fully equipped Emergency Department, specialized Behavioral Health units, and additional outpatient diagnostic services. Across our 205 licensed beds, we provide advanced cardiac, cancer, respiratory, and rehabilitation care supported by cutting-edge technology and key partnerships. How you'll contribute Under the general guidance of the physicians/providers performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures.

How you'll contribute Under the general guidance of the physicians/providers performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures.
- Receives patients, explains method of procedure and makes sure patient is comfortable.
- Provides patient services to all ages using imaging modalities.
- Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
- Maintains equipment and supplies and organizes work area.
- Keeps accurate records, helps with scheduling of the ultrasound and keeps patient flow smooth.
- Checks the physician's requisition for complete information on the procedure requested' refers any questions to the ultrasound physician before performing the procedure.
- Assists the radiologist/referring physician in invasive procedures using sterile technique while maintaining infection control guidelines.
- Recognizes the significance of all structures that are visualized on the monitor and be able to differentiate artifacts from anatomic/pathologic structures within equipment limitations.
- Possesses an in-depth knowledge of anatomy/physiology, technical expertise and able to improve standard procedures to enhance diagnostic results when needed.

- Associate's degree Required; Graduate of approved program of Ultrasound/Sonography or equivalent.
- ARDMS Registered or if new graduate, must be ARDMS eligible and pass a test in at least one area (i.e. Abdomen, OBGYN) including physics within one year of employment.
- State license to practice as a Sonographer.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Must be able to meet requirements of departmental on call policy
