Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Pocatello, Idaho. This role involves providing specialized care in the Labor and Delivery department at a teaching hospital. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid state or Compact license must be in hand at the time of submittal. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery. Certifications needed include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), American Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate certification, and Facility Births experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high risk antepartum care, use of intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC), maintaining central lines (Central Venous Catheter [CVC] / Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter [PICC]), anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, insulin drips, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, assisting with high-risk deliveries, circulating for C-sections, recovering C-Sections, performing sterile vaginal exams, and managing isolation precautions/PPE.
• Additional Information:
  • The unit handles an average of 200-300 facility births per month.
  • Care includes triage of obstetrical patients, use of IUPC placement and calibration, high risk delivery assistance, and participation in C-section procedures.
  • Must complete core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing.
  • Modules are non-billable and will be completed onsite during orientation, with an average of 4-6 hours for Registered Nurses and 2-3 hours for Allied Health professionals.
  • The traveler must live at least 100 miles from the facility.
  • Previous staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler.
  • Vaccinations required: COVID-19 and Flu vaccines.
  • The assignment start date is June 22, 2026.
