Surgery Trauma Physician Assistant Opportunity

Ascension Seton is looking for a PA or AGACNP for our Trauma Surgery Department. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to provide medical services to patients at Ascension Seton Medical Center Williamson located in Round Rock, TX.

Position Highlights:

• Acute Care Certification - strongly preferred
• Patient population 15 years and up
• 2 plus years of Trauma experience - as an APP - strongly preferred

Responsibilities:

• Obtains patient history and performs assessment. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic procedures.
• Provides and documents direct treatment and management of health conditions.
• Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
• Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

• 1 year of experience preferred.
