Registered Nurse 2 (26141750) Position Title: Registered Nurse 2 - (26141750) The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity as a Registered Nurse at the Montana Mental Health Nursing Care Center (MMHNCC) in Lewistown, a licensed residential facility for the long‑term care and treatment of persons who have mental disorders and who require a level of care not available in the community. The Registered Nurse (RN) performs professional nursing duties to promote and maintain physical health for residents in this mental health nursing care facility. Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and document nursing care for residents following accepted nursing standard practices. Write comprehensive care plans for each resident that include problems, interventions, and measurable goals. Serve as the charge nurse to coordinate facility activities and provide overall management of the facility in the absence of the supervisor. Work schedules vary by availability and may include shift differential pay. Qualifications Knowledge of nursing, medications, and treatment planning. Knowledge of patients’ rights regarding medical treatment. Ability to identify problems, develop and implement solutions. Ability to remain calm when confronted. Establish and maintain effective working relationships. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Minimum Qualifications Current Montana State Registered Nurse (RN) license or RN license with a Multistate privilege in a Compact State. Preferred: Two years of professional nursing experience.
