This role is part of a multi-state behavioral-health network that provides residential mental-health treatment for adolescents and young adults. The organization operates multiple programs across the U.S. and is known for delivering evidence-based care through collaborative clinical teams. The Mental Health Therapist delivers individual, group, and family therapy to adolescents and/or young adults experiencing mental-health and behavioral-health challenges. This position works closely with a multidisciplinary team to guide clients through a structured treatment episode and support a smooth transition into aftercare. Responsibilities
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy for clients with conditions such as anxiety, depression, substance use, and other co-occurring concerns.
• Complete clinical assessments and interviews with clients and their families or guardians.
• Build and maintain therapeutic rapport throughout a 28-35-day treatment stay.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes and observations.
• Communicate relevant clinical information to the broader treatment team.
• Participate in aftercare and discharge planning to support continuity of care.
• Follow all ethical, regulatory, and licensing standards. Qualifications
• Experience in a clinical mental-health or behavioral-health setting.
• Background working with adolescents and/or young adults.
• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field (doctoral enrollment also accepted).
• Experience providing individual, family, and/or group therapy.
• Preferred experience with mental health, substance use, eating disorders, or trauma-informed care.
• Licensed, pre-licensed, or license-eligible in New Hampshire-or able to transfer an out-of-state license-as one of the following:
• Marriage and Family Therapist
• Clinical Mental Health Counselor
• Clinical Social Worker
• Clinical Psychologist
• Pending licensure or out-of-state licensure accepted. Benefits
