Registered Nurse - Float Pool

Schedule

This is a 12-hour day shift position, requiring availability for weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool. The Float Pool is responsible for providing nursing care across various inpatient units, including ICU, Step-down, and Medical/Surgical. Nurses will be assigned based on competency and unit needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients in various units including medical/surgical, step-down, and ICU.
• Monitor patient statuses and administer medications as required.
• Titrate IV drips in step-down areas, managing medications including Heparin, Cardizem, and Insulin.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain patient records using the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license.
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS.
• Strong background in Med/Surg nursing; Step-down experience preferred.
• Experience with titration of IV medications is essential for Step-down units.
