You'll keep the clinic running smoothly by supporting physicians and nursing staff, managing patient flow, and delivering quality care. If you're organized, compassionate, and always looking for ways to improve how things work, this is the job for you.What You'll DoManage patient flow for provider and nursing appointmentsGather records before each visit, including test results, consultation notes, and hospital notesReview and update medications and allergies, and record vitals in the EMRAnticipate provider needs and prepare for procedures such as GYN exams, joint injections, and wound carePerform clinical tests, including INR/HCT, O2 sat, PFM, UA dips, EKGs, and orthostatic vitalsGive immunizations and medications and perform blood draws as directed, with EMR documentationEducate patients on follow-up care, referrals, and studiesProcess routine non-narcotic refills per the provider's plan and flag any discrepanciesRelay test results after physician review and triage patient calls for provider reviewClean and stock exam rooms in line with OSHA standardsSupport other clinical staff and take on special projects as neededWhat You BringHigh school diploma required; some college preferredCompletion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, or equivalent medical training and experienceCurrent BLS certificationAt least 2 years of experience in a medical office or related fieldSolid knowledge of medical xhyhwjd terminology, common internal medicine conditions, and drug classesHands-on skill with fingerstick testing (HCT/INR/BS), EKG, spirometry, phlebotomy, UA/HCG, PFM and nebulizer setup, and rapid flu/strep testingTact, diplomacy, and clear communication with patients, families, providers, and coworkersThe ability to prioritize and complete tasks on timeA genuine drive to learn and retain procedures and office policiesA caring, professional demeanor at all timesBenefits401(k) after one year of employment3 weeks of flextimeHealth care stipend Opti Staffing Group
