Personal Banker II - Phoenix, AZ Location: Phoenix, Arizona 85008 General Function The Personal Banker II position will provide an exceptional customer experience by building and maintaining long‑lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers. The banker will help customers understand and address their financial needs, providing solutions that span the customer's lifecycle using a consultative sales and service process. The banker is responsible for risk, follows all policies and procedures, and consistently identifies, assesses, manages, monitors, and reports risks in accordance with the bank’s risk appetite. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Create a memorable customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships in a book of business through proactive outreach in person, over the phone, or other appropriate channels. Use a consultative approach with current or prospective customers to uncover and identify their needs while tailoring recommendations and solutions. Maintain working knowledge of products, services, and processes offered by the bank. Work collaboratively with internal partners to ensure customer needs are met and all problems are resolved. Analyze customer credit data and related financial information to ensure customers are placed in appropriate solutions aligned with their needs. Provide customer support that reinforces the value of current and new technology. Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies, modeling the expected ethical behavior. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required High school diploma or GED and at least one year of customer service experience, or a college degree or equivalent military experience. Experience in a sales environment required; experience in the financial industry a plus. Demonstrated ability to develop comfort with both new household acquisitions and deepening customer relationships. Professional verbal and written communication skills representing Fifth Third Bank. Capability to analyze credit and financial information. Business acumen and ability to make sound decisions. Position requires S.A.F.E. Act registration at hire through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). The NMLS website provides the MU4R questions and registration required for employment. Working Conditions Normal office environment. Extended viewing of computer screens. Periodic travel within the Bancorp footprint to attend meetings and training.
