Senior Tax Analyst - International Tax Strategy

We have an opening for a Senior Tax Analyst - International Tax Strategy. The selected candidate will have the option of working out of our Houston, TX or Cleveland, OH office. The Senior Tax Analyst International Tax Strategy position is a dynamic position that supports the International Tax Strategy group with various international tax planning and compliance projects that directly impact shareholder value. Position Details:

• Performs tax research on a variety of issues, including, international tax provisions of the US Internal Revenue Code, US rules related to corporations and partnerships, tax treaties, and US inbound/outbound taxation.
• Assists with various international tax projects including: cross-functional Legal Entity Simplification projects, internal legal structure reorganizations, efficient cash management, and non-US host country tax planning.
• Assists in the international tax compliance and provision process including preparation of US international tax forms (e.g., Forms 5471, 5472, 8858, etc.), earnings & profits and tax pool calculation/maintenance, statement/election preparation, and IRS audit support.
• Provides support for modeling and quantitative analysis.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum 1 year accounting/tax experience
• No relocation is being offered for this position.
• Only candidates who reside within a 50 mile radius of Houston, TX will be considered.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA and/or MTAX preferred
• 2+ years of tax experience preferred
• Previous international tax experience a plus
• Compliance experience
• Big 4 experience preferred
• Computer skills including working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Power Point. CorpTax, SAP or Oracle experience is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work well with others in a highly dynamic environment.
