Assistant Coordinator of Technology and Communications The New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association is seeking a creative, organized, and technology-proficient professional to serve as Assistant Coordinator of Technology and Communications. This full-time, on-site position supports both the Technology Department and the Communications Office and plays an essential role in ensuring seamless technology operations, professional learning support, member engagement, and organizational communications. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem solver who is equally comfortable troubleshooting technology issues, supporting live events, creating engaging social media content, and assisting with marketing and communications initiatives. This individual should be proactive, detail-oriented, innovative, and enthusiastic about helping NJPSA better connect with and serve educational leaders throughout New Jersey. Key Responsibilities Provide on-site technical support for NJPSA professional learning sessions, meetings, conferences, and events. Ensure microphones, laptops, projectors, audio systems, presentation technology, and internet connectivity are functioning properly before and during events. Troubleshoot audio/visual and connectivity issues in real time. Assist presenters, staff, and participants with technical needs and support requests. Respond to technology support inquiries submitted through the NJPSA website, email, voice mail and internal staff requests. Support NJPSA staff with computer setup, troubleshooting, software updates, and general technical assistance. Review and maintain technology inventory and assist with ordering equipment and office supplies. Assist with maintaining technology documentation and technology inventory and equipment organization. Communications and Marketing Support Manage and monitor NJPSA social media platforms by posting content that promotes professional learning opportunities, member benefits, organizational initiatives, and event highlights. Communications Create engaging live and post-event social media updates showcasing NJPSA activities and member engagement. Collaborate with the Marketing Director to design promotional and marketing materials. Assist in the creation and distribution of promotional email campaigns to targeted audiences and databases. Update and edit website content within the NJPSA content management system. Support organizational branding and communications initiatives through digital and print media. Capture event photography and assist with visual storytelling efforts when needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred in communications, marketing, information technology, media, graphic design, or a related field. Experience supporting technology systems, audio/visual equipment, and live event Technology (Preferred But Will Train Someone With Strong Tech Skills) Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator, as well as Canva and various AI platforms. Ability to manage social media platforms and create digital marketing content. Familiarity with website content management systems and email marketing platforms. Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills. Photography and basic video editing skills are a plus. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work collaboratively across departments. Ability to work on-site five days per week and support occasional evening events or conferences as needed.
