- Craft Individualized Treatment Plans: Assess patients' unique needs and design tailored therapy strategies to help them meet their functional objectives
- Implement Healing Interventions: Use evidence-based techniques to foster improvements in patients' motor skills, cognitive abilities, and everyday tasks
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work in tandem with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to deliver comprehensive, patient-centric care
- Educate Patients and Their Caregivers: Provide training to patients and families on therapy methodologies to promote ongoing progress outside the clinical setting
- Track and Adjust Outcomes: Monitor clinical progress and modify treatment plans as necessary, ensuring patients remain on track with their rehabilitation
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Support for ongoing education or post-grad certifications
- Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
- Certification from NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) is required
- A deep-seated passion for assisting others in achieving their highest level of independence
- Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with both patients and team members
