Post Anesthesia Care Unit NurseJob Title: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Varies, occasional weekends Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in PACU or critical care experience required License: Current unencumbered RN license required Certifications: Healthcare Provider Level BLS required, ACLS and PALS required Must-Have: - Experience in PACU or critical care Description: The PACU is a critical care unit where the patient's vital signs are closely observed. Pain management begins in this unit, and fluids are administered to patients. The nursing staff is skilled in recognizing and managing problems in patients after receiving anesthesia. The role requires proficiency in patient assessment and intervention. Effective communication skills are essential for coordinating with the surgical team.
