Job Description
The Second Shift Logistics Dispatcher plays a critical role in coordinating and managing logistics operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of shipments. Working within a medium-sized team of 6 to 15 members and reporting directly to the Logistics Manager, this position involves frequent interaction with drivers and reliance on specialized dispatch software Sylectus.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate routes for second shift logistics operations
- Plan optimal routes to maximize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines
- Coordinate loads to ensure balanced distribution and compliance with capacity limits
- Maintain frequent communication with drivers to provide updates and resolve issues
- Track shipments throughout the delivery process to ensure timely arrival
- Resolve problems proactively to mitigate delays and disruptions
- Handle documentation related to shipments and dispatch activities
- Perform accurate data entry to support logistics tracking and reporting
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in logistics dispatching
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in logistics coordination
- Proficiency with dispatch software, such as Sylectus,
