Generis TEK Inc. is seeking an Contract Operational Procurement Specialist – Hybrid based in King of Prussia, PA. Position Details Duration: 4+ months (Contract to Hire) Pay: $30.00/hr on W2 Location: King of Prussia, PA 19406 – Hybrid Job Responsibilities Act as the business unit owner for Sourcing and Compliance to achieve targeted savings across all Region/BU categories, negotiate local contracts and monitor supplier performance while deploying the procurement process across the region. Manage daily activities within the purchasing process, serving as the primary interface with business owners and supplier representatives and facilitating sourcing for buyer-assisted requisition channels. Support operational procurement leadership in integrating operational procurement into key business functions. Provide Business Unit stakeholders with direction in navigating to the correct procurement team member. Perform day‑to‑day operational support for demand management – analysis of business needs for supply and services. Resolve supplier issues – monitoring service requirements, working with the business and supplier to resolve conflicts and discrepancies; manage supplier risk and lead BU risk evaluations and compliance activities. Set up, maintain and update the Region/BU catalog (internal and external) as required; support supplier management, provide Region/BU support and pre‑qualify potential bidders for local, regional and/or global tenders when needed. Assist in planning procurement priorities and projects, providing business context to category management and collaborating on required categories; support improvements in purchasing and procedural efficiencies and working capital. Support overall costs for Region/BU through negotiation and strategic initiatives; research new sources of supply and possible alternative products/technologies; implement contracts, mitigate risk and ensure collaboration with the Law Department. Conduct local BU bidding/RFx process execution – analysis, negotiation, award and implementation; investigate possible customer solutions with assistance from others as needed. Key Characteristics & Skills Contract administration experience including award negotiations, subcontractor management, procurement, performance auditing, and dispute resolution. Familiarity with legal and commercial laws and procurement tactics. Excellent organizational skills, ability to work independently, assess priorities and manage a variety of activities (multi‑tasking). Strong attention to detail under tight deadlines and capacity to manage heavy workloads. Ability to work in a global, matrixed team environment. Experience with operational purchasing across various procurement channels (requisitions, change orders, expedited purchases and company credit cards known as 'P-Cards'). Experience in procure‑to‑pay processes, tools and philosophies. Familiarity with spend assessment from both a technology and methodology perspective. Demonstrated contract administration experience and exposure to eProcurement, eCatalogs, and contract management. Exposure to leading P2P technology practices and trends; contract negotiation experience and understanding of legal principles; experience with Sourcing Systems and ERP. Strategic sourcing experience, technical buying, E‑RFX and eAuction strategies and P2P technologies; success in gathering data, conducting analyses and generating high‑quality outputs. Experience with process quality control, workflow management and design. Education and Experience Required Experience working in a "Strategic Sourcing" environment; expertise in contract negotiation and contract management. BS in a business‑related major. Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or equivalent desirable.
