Robotics Technician III

Robotics Technician - Spot Boston Dynamics is seeking a robotics technician to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to troubleshoot, test, and repair complex robotic systems for our Spot Robot fleet. Responsibilities Day‑to‑day activities include debugging, testing, maintenance, and repairs of the world’s most advanced dynamic robots. Create and maintain detailed records of issue resolution, logging events during the repair workflow, and accounting of parts consumed. Interface with external partners to resolve issues and ensure customer success. Maintain effective communication with manufacturing, engineering, sales, and software support to ensure high levels of cooperation. Manage and maintain inventory of service assemblies and hardware. Guide users through diagnostic processes, which may include the use of diagnostic tools and written instructions. Apply knowledge of robot user interface and technical documentation. Prototype, build, and troubleshoot experimental hardware alongside engineering teams and researchers as needed. Qualifications Practical hands‑on experience with mechanical or electrical systems and fabrication. Professional experience in maintenance, installation, or service work in a related industry. Computer skills (e‑mail, spreadsheets) required; experience with command line or Linux is a plus. Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted. Ability to explain technical issues to varied audiences. Valid passport and a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Ability to travel via plane, train, or motor‑vehicle. Compensation The pay range for this position is between $27.50 to $35.60 per hour. Base pay will depend on individualized factors such as internal equity, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. This range represents a good‑faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
