Diagnostic Radiology Technologist

Overview Full‑time night shift with special weekend options: Saturday, Sunday, Monday 7 pm–7 am at Bloomington Hospital. New hire bonus available for eligible candidates. Responsibilities Operate imaging equipment such as X‑ray, fluoroscopy, portable X‑ray, and fluoroscopy equipment used in surgery. Prepare patients by explaining the exam and positioning them correctly. Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure accurate imaging. Follow radiation safety protocols. Document detailed patient history and necessary information in EMR. Monitor patients during exam for safety. Assist with minimally invasive procedures as needed. Stay current with continuing education. Qualifications Requires 0–3 years of relevant experience. Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required. Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning. Active status as a Registered Technologist – Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a recent graduate of an approved training program in Radiologic Technology (board eligible). If board eligible, must obtain credential in Radiography within 6 months of hire. Current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist or a current ISDH Radiology Student Permit. We are an equal opportunity employer.
