Elevator Installation & Modernization Technician
RMR Elevator is hiring an experienced Elevator Installation & Modernization Technician to join our team in Linden, NJ. We are looking for a motivated elevator mechanic with experience in installation, modernization, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on hydraulic and traction elevators. This position offers steady work, competitive pay, strong benefits, and minimal overtime.
Responsibilities
- Perform elevator modernizations and new installations
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and traction elevators
- Complete preventative maintenance and service work
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and shop drawings
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues efficiently
- Ensure all work is completed safely and meets code requirements
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for occasional service calls
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of elevator mechanic experience
- Experience with:
- Hydraulic elevator installation and modernization
- Traction elevator installation and modernization
- Elevator maintenance and repair
- Troubleshooting elevator systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics and shop drawings
- Valid driver's license required
- High school diploma or GED required
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
- NJ Elevator Mechanic License (preferred but not required)

- $40$60 per hour depending on experience

Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday to Friday
- On-call rotation as needed
