Resolute LLC is hiring a full time supplemental/contract worker supporting ongoing utility company projects. Job location is in Pomona, CA. Currently Hybrid - 2 days in Pomona, 3 days work from home (Subject to Change). Please only apply only if you meet the requirements.
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, data science, business, construction management, or engineering
- 3-7 years’ experience in capital projects/construction, financial analysis, reporting
- Hands on experience with Excel, Power BI, Query, Data Analysis
- Excellent Communication: address the situation, engage stakeholders, fine solution, report result
- Pleasant personality
- Able to multitasks multiple projects at same time
Job details:
- Establish foundational cost baselines for capital projects exceeding $25M
- Validate scope, schedule, and cost estimates to ensure they accurately reflect project technical requirements, delivery strategy, and risk profile.
- Ensure defensible and transparent early cost positions through rigorous analytical review and documentation.
- Consolidate cost inputs across multiple disciplines to produce complete and accurate enterprise estimates.
- Lead and facilitate QA/QC reviews to confirm estimate accuracy, consistency, and compliance with corporate standards and estimating methodologies.
- Perform cost aggregation across workstreams, contracts, and functional groups to develop unified project and portfolio‐level estimates.
- Support internal governance processes, including preparation of analytical materials
- Prepare cost evidence and documentation for external regulatory filings and proceedings, ensuring estimates meet regulatory expectations for completeness, prudence, and transparency.
- Maintain adherence to cost governance frameworks to support informed decision‐making and long‐term capital planning effectiveness.
- Track and report Cost Development metrics, including annual project aggregation volume, team contribution rates, and portfolio‐level cost impacts.
- Support portfolio‐level cost planning by analyzing trends, cost drivers, and estimate quality across the capital program.
- Collaborate with cross‐functional partners to ensure alignment between project scope, schedule, risk, and cost assumptions.
- Provide subject‐matter expertise on estimating standards, cost methodologies, and capital governance requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating tools, templates, processes, and QA/QC practices.
- Ensure cost documentation integrity for large capital projects
