Position Summary The Director of Production will own end-to-end execution of field operations, including installation crews, scheduling, materials and supply chain, quality control, and safety compliance. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for building scalable systems and processes, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to a consistently high quality standard. The ideal candidate has direct experience in a home services, concrete coatings, epoxy flooring, or similar field-service/home improvement business and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and scale day-to-day field operations across installation crews, project scheduling, and job‑site logistics to hit production, quality, and margin targets. Develop, document, and continuously improve standard operating procedures for installation, materials handling, quality control, and safety. Own operational KPIs, including jobs completed per week, labor efficiency, callback/rework rate, customer satisfaction, and on‑time completion, and report results to leadership. Recruit, train, mentor, and manage crew leads, installers, and operations support staff; build a strong bench of talent to support growth. Manage supply chain and vendor relationships for coating materials, equipment, and consumables to ensure job‑site readiness and cost control. Partner with sales and customer experience teams to ensure smooth handoff from sale to installation and a high-quality customer experience throughout. Own safety compliance across all field operations, including training, PPE standards, and adherence to OSHA and local regulations. Monitor job costing and labor/material budgets; identify and implement efficiency and cost‑saving initiatives. Evaluate and implement operations software and tools, including scheduling, dispatch, CRM, and job‑costing systems, to support scalability. Support multi‑crew and/or multi‑location expansion, including new market or territory launches as Symphony Concrete Coatings grows. Serve as an escalation point for complex customer or job‑site issues, ensuring timely resolution. Qualifications 5+ years of operations leadership experience in concrete coatings, flooring, or a related home improvement/field‑service industry, such as garage storage, painting, roofing, or remodeling. Proven track record managing multiple crews and job sites simultaneously in a fast‑paced, growth‑stage environment. Strong understanding of installation processes, materials, and quality standards for coatings or a comparable trade. Demonstrated success building and scaling operational processes, systems, and teams. Data‑driven approach to managing KPIs, budgets, and job costing; comfortable with scheduling and CRM/operations software. Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills, with the ability to build a strong, performance‑driven culture. Bachelor's degree in business, operations, construction management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Willingness to travel locally and regionally to job sites as needed.
