Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM’s Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, business transformation, asset advisory, economics and development planning, master planning, urban planning, and landscape architecture. Our teams have worked on signature projects such as the London 2012 Olympic Park and Legacy Framework, to the new plan for the LA2028 Olympics, to industrial facilities for GE and Rolls-Royce, to headquarters and workplaces for NASA, Unilever, Sony Music, DirecTV, Box, Inc., and many Fortune 500 companies.AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer to be based in our Boston, MA office. This position will perform site visits to observe and report on construction activities and address field questions as well as coordinate design and construction issues.The Structural Engineer will be responsible for the following items: Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineerGathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined proceduresWorks on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple testsProposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignmentsIdentifies discrepancies in resultsPerforms work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervisionIndependently performs all the tasks necessary to complete the primary design elements for engineering worksMust be able to perform site visits to observe and report on construction activities and address field questions as well as coordinate design and construction issuesQualificationsMinimum Requirements:BS in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering or related discipline plus two (2) year of relevant experience in structural design of buildings and transportation structures or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education Must have either ETABS or SAP, Revit, and Microsoft Excel experience to qualify for this positionU.S. CitizenshipPreferred Qualifications :​Expereience with ETABS or SAP, RAM Structural, AutoCAD, SAFE, TEDDS, SAP2000, MathCAD, SpecsIntact, spColumn, spBeam, spWall, Enercalc Masters in Structural EngineeringAdditional InformationSponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this positionRelocation is not available for this positionAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
