Specimen Processor

Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor to prepare and process laboratory specimens for diagnostic testing in Florence, Alabama. The role involves unpacking, labeling, routing, and shipping specimens while maintaining accurate records in a high-throughput laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Unpack, identify, label, and route specimens to appropriate staging areas
• Pack and ship specimens to testing facilities according to protocols
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
• Resolve and document problem specimens
• Meet department activity and production goals

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify and label specimens
• Strong data entry and organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Pass standardized color blindness test
