Associate Director Corporate Communications

The client is seeking an Associate Director of Corporate Communications to help shape corporate reputation and translate complex science into clear, meaningful stories. This role will work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to drive both external and internal communications initiatives in a fast-paced, visible environment. Responsibilities include leading the development and execution of integrated corporate communications strategies that support company priorities, pipeline milestones, and brand positioning. The role will manage media relations by drafting press releases, building relationships with healthcare and industry media, and supporting proactive outreach; translate scientific, clinical, and corporate data into accessible messaging for stakeholders including media, investors, healthcare professionals, and patients; and design internal communications initiatives that support culture, organizational alignment, and change management. The Associate Director will also support crisis and issues management, prepare communication strategies and materials for sensitive situations, collaborate with Legal, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, HR, Commercial, and Executive teams to ensure compliant and aligned messaging, partner with executive leadership on presentations and leadership messaging, and monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and mitigate reputational risks. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, life sciences, or a related field, with a master’s degree preferred. The client expects 5–8+ years of corporate communications experience in biotech, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or related fields, along with demonstrated ability in corporate reputation, executive communications, media relations, and internal initiatives. Additional expectations include experience translating complex scientific and clinical information into clear messaging, strong stakeholder management and communication skills, collaboration across Legal, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and leadership, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and communications and media monitoring resources.
