Check out this video and learn more and discover the Power of We./ppAs an MRI Technologist at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by:/pulliOperating a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatments of pathologies./liliPossessing thorough knowledge and understanding of the principles and physics of magnetic resonance imaging./liliSelecting appropriate imaging techniques and protocols to complete the exam./liliReceiving patients, explaining method of examination, and positioning patient, performing IV puncture, and administering IV contrast agent when indicated./liliIndependently performing and completing routine examinations./liliMeeting the needs of the patient, family, and multi-disciplinary team through effective communication, coordination, and documentation ensuring safety, care, courtesy, and efficiency./liliActively participating in quality initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction, highest level of patient care, and workflow efficiencies./li/ulpMinimum Qualifications:/pulliAssociate Degree or equivalent from two-year College or Technical School; or one-year minimum related experience and/or training, required/liliCurrent ARRT (R) or (MR)/liliCurrent BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, required/liliAbility to interact with people of all ages, required/li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/pulliAt least one (1) year of experience as a MRI Technologist, preferred/li/ulpOngoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.- and -Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.- and -Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.- and -Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.- and -Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
