Additional Information About the Role BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time Senior MRI Technologist - Operating Room (Day Shift) for Barnes-Jewish Hospital - New Plaza West Tower (St. Louis, MO) Experienced Radiologic Technologists and MRI Technologists welcome to apply!!! Position Details:

* NO CALL!!!

• Day Shift Hours: 3 days per week at 12 hour shifts
• Interventional & surgical MRI procedures, providing critical imaging support across a variety of OR cases
• Advanced Modality Technologist position
• Surgical environment
• Siemens MRI Machines
• Training for position will be on day shift at 5 days per week for about 3 months before moving to the 3 days per week rotating schedule

Requirements:

• Associate degree or higher in related field
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R) and/or MR
• 2 years' experience
• ARMRIT or ARRT

Experience:

• MRI and/or OR experience (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Performs all responsibilities of a Advanced Modality Technologist and assumes responsibilities of the Lead Tech in their absence. Assists in the development and training of students and/or new employees. Senior Advance Modality Technologist must have 3 or more responsibilities within the following categories: hospital/department initiatives, patient experience and employee engagement, quality assurance, process improvement and mentorship. Performs all responsibilities under the direction of lead/charge of advanced modality technologist. Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
• Assists with regulatory compliance for the department (ACR, JC). Maintains up-to-date regulatory information. Oversees department quality assurance program under the direction of the Clinical Instructor or Lead/Charge.
• Participates in department or hospital safety/quality process improvements and initiatives. Leads the team in improving patient experience and/or improving employee engagement.
• Mentors new employee and/or clinical students under the direction of the CI.
• BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.

Minimum Requirements Education * Associate or Trade School Equi Experience * 2-5 years Supervisor Experience * No Experience Licenses & Certifications * IEMA - Illinois only, excl MRI

* R.T.(R), CT,MR,M,BD,CI,VI,RCIS

Preferred Requirements Experience * 5-10 years Licenses & Certifications

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
• Intravenous Therapy
