"This role is eligible for relocation for local US candidates and offers a Sign-On Bonus"Onsite ScheduleYour Contribution As a Health, Safety and Environmental Supervisor reporting to the Murfreesboro Plant Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the Health and Safety efforts, as well as the Environmental Management System of the plant/location. The position ensures a safe work environment for all employees while maintaining compliance with all International Organization for Standardization (ISO) guidelines, and safety-related legal requirements. This role is responsible to:This positionis responsible forsupervising a team of Health, Safety,and EnvironmentalRepresentatives.Ensure health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and programscomply withcompany, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), federal, state, and local regulations.Manage environmental programs. Maintainlogsof chemicals used at facility andcorresponding safety data sheets (SDS).Lead and coordinate environmental systems activities to meet the InternationalOrganization for Standardization (ISO) guideline. Respond to andfacilitateinvestigations for HSE incidents and near misses,assistwith identification of root causes, and drive implementation of corrective actions. Manage position specific safety and health training programs toeducate employeesin work site safety practices, fire prevention, and correcthandling techniquesfor chemicals, toxins, equipment, and other materials.Review new machinery, equipment, and plant layout changes to ensure a proactive safety approach. Monitor occupational health and industrial hygiene activities including air sampling, noise measurements, etc. Inspect facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards,determinecorrective or preventative measures whereneeded,and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented.Organize ergonomic assessments and job hazard analysis for all areas.Ensureappropriate personalprotective equipment is available for employees.Facilitate visitor/contractor expectationspertaining toplant safety. Manage internal audits and annual certification programs.Maintain HSE files and records. Compiles andsubmitsaccident and other reports as required by regulatory agencies. Your Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in occupational health, Environmental Health/Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university7+ yearspreviousor related experience preferredStrong leadership anddecision-makingskills required, ability to makedifficult decisionsand set the example for employees Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation deliveryAbility to manage short and/or long-term projects to successful completionMust have broad, basic understanding of federal, state, and local health, safety, and environmental laws and regulationsCertified safety professional (CSP) and/or certified industrial hygienist (CIH) certifications preferredOur Offering We will provide a collaborative environment working on exciting assignments, along with ongoing personal & career development opportunities. We encourage you to apply even if youdon'tmeet every single requirement.
