About the RoleWe are seeking a Sr. Global Supply Manager to work closely within the Supply Chain Team. The Supply Chain team is a key function in managing the production flow of goods and services to ensure manufacturing readiness. This role will play a key part in both team and company success. This role interfaces with all aspects of the business, including production, program management, engineering, and leadership. This individual will possess the following strong skills: Decision Making, Cost Reduction, Negotiation, Project Management, Contract Management & Spend Management.This is a strong fit for someone who is hands-on, comfortable owning decisions, and able to move quickly without losing sight of cost and quality.Responsibilities:Purchasing ownership of Direct MaterialsDesign and develop sourcing strategies for key Spacecraft components and go forward with implementation of developed strategiesNegotiate pricing & terms within responsible sourcing commoditiesStrategic spend management and budget reporting of direct materials and spendIdentify new supplier candidates and continue to drive continuous improvement within the supply baseImplement, Maintain, and Manage direct contracts with the ability to negotiate contractual terms as neededDevelop relationships with internal stakeholders to anticipate requirements and meet the business requirementsSupport the development and implementation of Purchasing StrategiesStrong ability to manage material flow, this includes logistics, inventory, and material flow within Apex manufacturing facilitiesRequirements:U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled dataBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, or Equivalent Business Degree6+ years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or OperationsDemonstrated track record of cost reduction achievementDemonstrated track record of on time delivery of goods and servicesStrong Attention to DetailStrong presentation skills and the ability to interface with leadershipStrong analytical skills and ability to breakdown data, spend, and purchasing data to drive continuous improvementWillingness to travel as needed for site visits and customer engagementsPreferredExperience sourcing direct materials for hardware, ideally in aerospace, defense, or manufacturingExperience sourcing avionics and electronics commodities, such as PCBA, communications hardware (radios and antennas), and GNC componentsExperience working in ERP or MRP systemsComfort operating in a fast-moving, high-growth environment#LI-RC1Why Join Apex?Apex believes in creating a work environment that you look forward to embracing every day.
