As a Desing-Build Construction Project Engineer at Perini Management Services, reporting to the Project Manager you will have the opportunity to:Description:Design-Build Management:Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction scheduleReview Phased Design Submissions for RFP Compliance, Constructability, Consistency with Subcontractor ProposalsProvide technical support for construction effort including participation in construction planning and design; interpretation of design; application of construction methods; resolution and documentation of design conflicts; constructability reviews, review of product data submittalsRepresent company, project and/or department during A/E, client and project management meetings, including keeping and distributing meeting minutesProject Planning & Coordination:Collaborate with architects and engineers throughout all phases of construction, including pre-construction/design phases.Assist in developing project budgets, timelines, and procurement plans.Review and manage design documents for constructability and distribution to client & subcontractorsConstruction Management:Assist with developing and maintaining the project schedule, including monthly updates, and progress tracking.Process change orders and manage scope changes between the client, subcontractors, and designers.Assist in securing vendors and subcontractors.Monitor costs and assist with budget management.Identify and mitigate project risks.Coordinate with the owner and security officers for base access and ensure proper clearanceConstruction Oversight:Support and oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure alignment with plans and specifications.Assist in monitoring worksite safety and ensure compliance with safety standards.Assist in the coordination of subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials and servicesDocumentation & Reporting:Documenting and Coordinating meetings, tracking actions, and decisions.Manage submittals and RFIs keep up to date logsSupport QC inspections and ensure project quality standards are maintainedRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a similar degree from an accredited institution.2 + years of project engineering experienceExperience with Federal Projects preferred.Experience with Desing-Build Construction projects preferred.Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer literacy.Proficiency with Primavera P6, Bluebeam and ProcoreWilling to travel and relocate.
