Job Title: Registered Dietitian
Location: Sumter, SC
Type: Contract | 13 Weeks (With high possibility of extension or permanent placement)
Shift & Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 40 Hours Per Week

Pay Rate:
Local Pay: $2050.00 - $2100.00 Weekly
Traveler Pay: $2350.00 - $2450.00 Weekly (Stipend Provided)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Dietitian for an exciting Travel or Local job in Sumter, SC.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed nutritional assessments and screenings for adult patients in medical, surgical, and ICU settings.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and care plans.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

• Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and their families.

• Assess and manage enteral nutrition support for patients as appropriate.

• Assess and manage parenteral nutrition support for critically ill patients.

• Monitor patient progress and adjust nutrition care plans as needed.

• Document nutrition assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

• Float to various adult acute care units as needed to support patient care and departmental coverage.

• Ensure compliance with facility policies, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based nutrition practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited program.

• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

• Active South Carolina Dietetics License.

• Clinical experience in adult medical, surgical, and critical care/ICU units.

• Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and nutrition assessment.

• Willingness and flexibility to float to various adult units based on facility needs.

• Open to first-time travelers with strong relevant clinical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous inpatient hospital experience.

• Experience working within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
