About the Role:
Duarte Grocery Outlet is looking for an energetic and dependable Produce Associate to join our growing team in Duarte, CA! In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering fresh, high-quality produce to our customers while keeping our department looking its best. If you love a fast-paced environment and take pride in great customer service, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Stock, rotate, and replenish fresh fruits and vegetables to maintain a full and appealing produce department
- Inspect produce for quality and freshness, removing damaged or expired items promptly
- Assist customers in locating products and answering questions about produce selection
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of produce displays, coolers, and work areas
- Receive and unload produce deliveries, verifying accuracy of shipments
- Apply proper food safety and handling procedures at all times
- Collaborate with team members to meet department goals and ensure a positive shopping experience
Requirements:
- Previous experience in produce preferred
- Knowledge of fresh produce varieties, quality standards, and seasonal items is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
- Reliable, punctual, and a team-oriented attitude
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
