Job Opportunity

Variable shift, 12 hours, with start times of either 07:00 AM or 07:00 PM.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous Charge Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience required.
• Patient Ratios: Experience managing a patient ratio of 2.
• Charting System: Experience with Epic preferred.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required.

• Assist with Chest Tube Insertion and Removal
• Care of Ventilated Patients
• CVA/Acute Stroke Management
• Hypothermia Protocol/Arcic Sun
• ICP Monitoring
• Infection Prevention and Isolation Precautions
• Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Experience
• Neuro Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Experience
• Post Craniotomy and Post Neurosurgery Management
• Management of Spinal Cord Injury
• Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) Experience
• Traumatic Brain Injury Management

Unit Details

• Scheduling Type: Self-scheduling available.
• Patient Ratios: 2 patients per nurse on Days, Nights, and Weekends.
• Weekend Coverage: Required.
• Pre-Approved Time Off: One occurrence allowed.
• Orientation Hours: Orientation consists of 12 hours.

Facility & Patient Care Information

• Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics.
• Daily Census: Approximately 10 patients.
• Number of Beds: 20 beds available.
• Interdisciplinary Support: Includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation.
• Common Patient Diagnoses: Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, COVID-19, ESRD, Trauma, and SDH.
• Special Procedures: Includes EVD, CRRT - Prismaflex, CABG, IABP, and Impella.
• Special Equipment: Lifts are available in all patient rooms.

Additional Information

Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities as per operational requirements. Refusal to float could lead to termination of the assignment.

If required for the assignment, communication devices (e.g., cell phone, pager) needed to perform duties will be supplied at no cost. Providers are responsible for submitting any work-related cell phone bills directly to the agency for reimbursement.
