Charleston, South Carolina, United States About the job Physical Therapist - PT (PHYT) Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Acute Care Hospital Charleston, South Carolina Contract Duration: 12 Weeks (April 6, 2026 – June 29, 2026) Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,924.60 Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8 Hours (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) | 40 Hours Position Overview Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist (PT) for an acute care hospital assignment in Charleston, SC. The Physical Therapist will work in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center , providing evaluation and treatment for adult patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. This role involves collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery, mobility, and discharge planning. Facility Information Facility: MUSC Health Charleston Charting System: EPIC Work Environment: High-acuity, interdisciplinary team-based care Clinical Coverage Areas Therapists will treat patients in: Medical-Surgical units Orthopedics (including total joints) Neurology and neurosurgery General medicine and transplant cases Key Responsibilities Perform patient evaluations and mobility assessments Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Provide therapeutic interventions including gait training and functional mobility Assist in discharge planning and care transitions Monitor patient progress and modify treatment as needed Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in EPIC Required Qualifications Active South Carolina Physical Therapist License (or proof of application) BLS Certification (AHA) Minimum 1 year of acute care experience Experience working with adult patient populations Preferred Qualifications Experience in acute care hospital settings Exposure to trauma, ortho, neuro, and med-surg patients Strong adaptability in fast-paced environments 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM shifts Weekend rotation (~2–3 weekends during contract with comp days) 40 hours guaranteed per week Non-local candidates preferred (60-mile radius rule applies) RTO must be submitted at time of application Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season Only one MUSC submission allowed per candidate Compliance Requirements Candidates must complete: Active SC licensure verification (or proof of application) Skills checklist and onboarding modules Pre-start compliance (modules ~4 hours, non-billable) SSN required at submission Why Consider This Assignment Work in a Level I Trauma Center Exposure to diverse, high-acuity patient cases Strong interdisciplinary team environment Consistent weekday schedule with limited weekends Great opportunity to build acute care expertise #J-18808-Ljbffr
