Onsite Semiconductor Equipment Technician (1st Shift)

Job Title FAB Onsite Tech I – Semiconductor Equipment Technician Location Chandler, AZ / Intel’s South Chandler Fab (Ocotillo Campus) Schedule Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM Key Responsibilities Install and commission UCT semiconductor equipment and systems Integrate third‑party components (pumps, subsystems, etc.) Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on installed equipment Conduct testing and validation to ensure proper system operation Diagnose and perform basic troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues Read and interpret: Electrical schematics Mechanical drawings Support: Equipment startup Performance verification Collaborate with: Engineering teams Site leads Customer (Intel) stakeholders Document: Work performed Issues identified System performance Support equipment upgrades and improvements Follow all safety and cleanroom protocols Required Skills & Experience Experience with: Equipment installation or mechanical assembly Preventive maintenance or equipment servicing Basic electrical troubleshooting capability Ability to read schematics/drawings Experience using hand tools Strong attention to detail and reliability Preferred Qualifications Semiconductor fab or sub‑fab experience Equipment install + PM combination experience (ideal target) Vacuum systems / pumps Field service or OEM experience Military technical experience Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Technical certification or associate degree preferred 1+ year in: Technical manufacturing Mechanical assembly Field service or installation Work Environment Onsite at Intel – South Chandler, AZ (Ocotillo Campus) Work performed across fab and sub‑fab areas Significant walking across a large campus Primarily hands‑on installation work Physical Requirements Lift/carry up to ~30 lbs Extended standing and walking Use of cleanroom PPE and respirator when required Other Duties Additional duties may change as business needs evolve.
