The Freshman Coach is responsible for fostering a positive, competitive, and educational athletic experience that supports the development of student‑athletes both on and off the field. Responsibilities include planning and conducting practices, preparing athletes for competition, teaching the fundamentals of football, promoting sportsmanship and teamwork, and communicating effectively with players, families, and the Head Football Coach. The season begins on August 24 and concludes on or near November 20 .
