Job Details Job ID: 5775593 Location: Beeman Memorial Elementary School, Gloucester, Massachusetts Position Type: Full‑time Job Category: Student Services > Psychologist Posted: Jun 11, 2026 Application Deadline: until filled (June 18, 2026) Starting Date: Sep 2, 2026 Salary: $60,150.00 – $108,470.00, commensurate with experience, per Gloucester Public Schools Teacher’s salary schedule Benefits: Health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and retirement options Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including intellectual, academic, social‑emotional, and behavioral assessments, to determine eligibility for special education services Provide individual and group counseling to address social‑emotional, behavioral, and communication challenges Collaborate with special education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers (e.g., speech‑language pathologists, occupational therapists), and administrators to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs), therapeutic intervention plans, and behavior intervention plans Facilitate social skills groups and other therapeutic interventions Administer and interpret a variety of standardized and informal assessment tools Write clear, concise, and comprehensive psychological reports that include diagnostic impressions and recommendations for intervention Participate in IEP team meetings to present evaluation findings and contribute to the development of individualized education programs Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop positive behavior support plans (PBSPs) Provide consultation and support to school staff on best practices for working with students with autism Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and therapeutic strategies Ensure compliance with all ethical and legal guidelines related to assessment and special education eligibility Provide consultation to district programs supporting structure and design as it pertains to enrolled students Qualifications Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist Experience in administering and interpreting psychological assessments Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders Knowledge of special education laws and regulations (e.g., IDEA) preferred Passionate and empathetic approach to working with students and families Citizenship, residency, or work visa required Contact Information Principal: Jodi Gennodie Address: 138 Cherry Street, Gloucester, Massachusetts 01930 Phone: View phone number on click.appcast.io Fax: View phone number on click.appcast.io Email: View email address on click.appcast.io #J-18808-Ljbffr
