The Material Handler plays a crucial role in managing the flow of materials within a medium-sized warehouse facility. This position involves operating equipment such as forklifts and hand trucks to safely and efficiently transport, load, and unload materials. The role focuses on maintaining organized inventory, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting packaging activities to help streamline warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records
- Transport materials using forklifts and hand trucks
- Load and unload shipments efficiently and safely
- Organize warehouse spaces to optimize workflow
- Operate warehouse equipment following safety protocols
- Comply with all safety regulations and guidelines
- Package materials securely for shipment or storage
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in material handling
- High school diploma or equivalent
