RN - Stepdown

Registered Nurse (RN)

The Registered Nurse will primarily work on the 4 West Comprehensive Medical Unit and may occasionally float between various Medical-Surgical units, including Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED/Med-Surg boarders. This position requires dedication to providing high-quality care and effective collaboration with the healthcare team.

Shift Information

Days (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM).

Job Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Comprehensive Medical Unit.
Float between Medical-Surgical units as required.
Implement assessment protocols and develop care plans based on patient needs.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor patient progress and update care plans accordingly.
Ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Contribute to staff education and professional development.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience.
Ability to read and interpret Telemetry; competency assessment required on the first day of employment.
Current BLS certification required.
Proficiency in Epic EMR is required; refresher courses or additional training will not be provided.

Additional Requirements

36 hours per week with every other weekend required.
Holiday coverage is required.
No call requirement.
