Please do not apply if you have no previous grooming experience. We are searching for a part time dog groomer to support Saturdays and fill in for vacation or sicks days for other groomers. This position is great for the experienced groomer that is looking for a consistent Saturday schedule.

Experience:

Pet grooming: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification Grooming Certificate (Preferred)

• Knowledge of dog breeds, care standards, and tools of the trade
• Strength to lift up to 70 pounds; stamina to stand for long periods of time
• Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment
• Loves animals
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent listening skills

Responsibilities

• Bathing and Grooming Dogs
• Cleaning up after yourself

Benefits

• Commission-based pay (average daily total revenue before commission ranges between $400-600 daily) plus tips
• W2 based pay
• Tips

Available shifts and compensation:

• Work at least 3 Saturdays per month

Proven experience as a professional pet groomer, with a deep understanding of various grooming techniques, breed-specific cuts, and coat types

Strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently deliver high-quality grooming services

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet appointment schedules

Provide professional grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling according to customer preferences and breed standards

Ensure the safety and comfort of pets throughout the grooming process by employing gentle handling techniques and positive reinforcement

Conduct thorough assessments of each pet's coat condition, skin health, and overall well-being, and communicate any concerns to the pet owners

Educate pet owners on proper grooming techniques and recommend appropriate grooming products for home care
