Building Automation Service Specialist

Roles and Responsibilities Diagnose and repair electronic control system malfunctions. Provide sketches of field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections and drawings, and coordinate with the Service Manager, Service Project Manager, and subcontractors on projects to report any problems or changes. Meet regularly with customers to understand operating problems; keep customers informed on the nature of service provided, outstanding issues, and recommend system enhancements, upgrades, or repairs. Provide customer training on electronic control systems operations; deliver manuals and documentation needed for training. Compile job documentation such as certificates of completion, customer training forms, training certificates, and punch lists. Qualifications Basic Qualifications 1+ years of experience installing and/or servicing electronic control and/or HVAC equipment. Ability to work in a variety of circumstances, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, high‑lift equipment, ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, and above ceilings in various conditions. Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, tablet and carry/move equipment up to 75 pounds unassisted. Legal authorization for employment in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future. Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma (or state‑recognized GED); Associate degree is a plus. Experience writing computer programs and software applications related to the HVAC industry. Knowledge of various electronic or digital control systems and ability to test and write modifications to system software. Experience with integration of low‑voltage building subsystems using industry protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, etc. Benefits Health and wellness benefits (details available at The pay range for this position is $57,820 – $99,120 per year. Actual wage may vary based on budget, experience, skills, qualifications, and geography.
