Benefits Competitive salary About the Role Somerset Learning Center is looking for a knowledgeable and reliable High School Math Teacher/Tutor to join our team in Raritan, NJ! This is a great opportunity to make a difference in students' lives by building their confidence and math skills in a supportive learning environment. This position is ideal for a full time math teacher looking to tutor in the summer and after school, as well as a retired math teacher who wants to continue helping students a few hours per week. Responsibilities Provide individual instruction to reinforce concepts in Algebra, Geometry, and Precalculus Prepare students for math sections of standardized tests such as the SAT (we will train) Create an encouraging and engaging learning atmosphere Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field State Teaching Certification is a plus 2+ Years Prior teaching or tutoring experience of high school math Strong content knowledge in Algebra, Geometry, and Precalculus Excellent ability to clearly explain math concepts and a patient, motivating teaching style Reliable and conveniently located to our office in Bridgewater/Raritan NJ About Us Somerset Learning Center is a trusted educational resource in the Bridgewater/Raritan NJ community.
