About the Position

Job Title: RN BMT/ONC Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Bone Marrow Transplant Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Shifts Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1.5 years of acute care BMT/Hematology experience required. License: Current RN License required. Certifications: AHA BLS certification required. ONC certification required. Must-Have: Chemotherapy administration experience required. Candidates must be comfortable with and have prior experience working in environments with flexible staffing ratios. Description: The RN will work in a unit caring for patients with blood cancers who are receiving chemotherapy, biotherapies, and cellular therapies such as stem cell transplants and CAR-T. The unit has 36 beds and is expanding to 51 beds. Nurse-to-patient ratios may flex based on staffing and unit needs. The RN will be responsible for the care and management of patients undergoing treatment for various hematological conditions. Candidates may float between different units based on facility needs. Weekend coverage is required based on unit needs. Additional support is provided to help manage patient loads. Candidates must demonstrate experience in administering chemotherapy and managing complications associated with treatment. They should also possess skills in recognizing and communicating abnormal lab values and managing side effects of treatment. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient safety and quality care.
