Utility Porter-Stewarding-Steady Extra (Caesars Palace LV)

Las Vegas, NV, United States (On-site) Job Summary Responsible for trash removal from kitchen areas and heavy cleaning functions, including high areas in the kitchens and outdoor stewarding tasks. Provides general assistance to other stewarding employees as needed to maintain food preparation areas to set standards. Responsibilities Follow all applicable safety precautions. Ensure that all kitchen trash is removed from the area and disposed of properly. Always be appropriately groomed and wear the uniform provided. Notify department management of needed repair work in the kitchen area. Complete all general cleaning functions requiring ladder access. Maintain the assigned kitchen area in accordance with county health department and hotel standards. Ensure that foodservice supplies are properly maintained in accordance with county health department and hotel standards. Take garbage, trash, and recyclables from kitchen areas to disposal sites. Clean kitchen loading/receiving dock with power wash daily. Complete power washing of equipment outdoors. Complete sweeping and mopping of kitchen floors. Assist other stewarding employees in their duties regarding kitchen maintenance as time permits. Obtain kitchen maintenance supplies needed from storage. Assist in the organization of kitchen maintenance supply storage areas. Perform additional related duties as requested by department management. Qualifications & Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older. Work requires a neat appearance with good personal hygiene. Union referral preferred. Ability to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended periods of time. Ability to lift approximately 30-35 pounds repeatedly. Ability to perform reaching, stooping, stretching, crouching, and twisting motions repeatedly. Ability to push approximately 300-350 pounds. Visual capabilities needed to inspect own work upon completion. Ability to climb up and work from ladders.
