Merchandising Assistant

We are seeking entrepreneurial and analytical candidates for a Merchandising Assistant. You will join our dynamic merchandising team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting product creation, managing digital assets, and ensuring accurate data entry for product information, pricing, and marketing copy. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of our product database and enhancing our merchandising efforts. The candidate will develop strong retail and merchandising skills and grow into a career in merchandising and planning.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

• Participate in the development of a successful merchandising strategy for select categories in the musical instruments industry.
• Manage the product information system for all new launches and existing product.
• Monitor and ensure product workflow for digital assets and copy to assist in the go to market process.
• Organize and manage web samples for timely turn-ins.
• Analyze and develop weekly reports that reflect category and item selling and margin trends.
• Assist in the management of vendor communications.
• Assist in the creation and editing of product descriptions, and marketing assets.
• Accurately maintain the pricing for all products.

Professional Experience & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Skilled proficiency with Microsoft Excel (V-lookups, formulas, filtering, sorting, formatting).
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to collaborate effectively to accomplish goals.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management and pricing.

Pay Rate: $28.00- $31.25 /hr depending on background and experience.
