Senior Electrical Engineer

Position Details Title : Senior Electrical Engineer Location : Maple Grove, MN 55369 Pay Rate : $50.00/hr - $62.20/hr (W2) Contract : 12‑Month Contract with potential extension Shift : 9/80 Authorization : US Citizenship Required Position Description The Electrical Engineer supports the development, testing, fabrication, and fielding of highly complex military equipment. In this role, the Electrical Engineer researches, plans, designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates electronic and electrical systems and components, utilizing advanced modeling and analysis tools to create product specifications, models, simulations, technical data packages, and integration and verification procedures. The engineer also evaluates vendor capabilities, technologies, services, and their ability to deliver required products or services, working under the general direction of a project engineering lead to perform electrical system design on a variety of military systems including combat vehicles, gun systems, and guided munitions. The Electrical Engineer provides detailed engineering analysis of components, subsystems, and systems for military product application. Skills Required Ability to solve moderately complex technical design and development problems requiring professional engineering knowledge. Experience creating, reading, and comprehending schematics and interconnect drawings. Ability to create and manage interface control documents. Proficiency in circuit simulation using PSpice or Ltspice. Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey data, information, and technical results to customers. Skills Preferred Familiarity with relevant military and commercial design standards. Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, PSpice, LabVIEW. Familiarity with computer programming languages such as C, C#, LabWindows/CVI. Working knowledge of OrCAD and Visio, circuit board schematic and layout tools. Familiarity with designing components in a high‑EMI environment. Systems Engineering and manufacturing knowledge. Experience Required Experience with analog and digital circuit design and analysis. Experience developing technical documentation such as drawings, reports, and technical analysis. Experience Preferred Experience with engineering design of wiring harnesses and cable assemblies for military systems. Experience with integrating Field Programmable Gate Arrays and developing electronic control logic. Experience developing and integrating power generation, conversion, and storage solutions. Experience in the development and integration of ammunition handling/loading systems, including autoloaders and large‑caliber rammer systems.
