Job Description
- Coordinate the day-to-day administration of all Title III grant-funded activities.
- Develop and monitor project timelines and progress toward grant goals.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among Activity Directors and campus partners.
- Review and approve Title III purchases, budget requests, travel authorizations, contracts, and other expenditures through the University's procurement system.
- Monitor grant expenditures to ensure costs are allowable, reasonable, allocable, and within approved budgets.
- Perform account reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and prepare journal vouchers, budget revisions, and other financial documents for processing.
- Manage purchase orders, encumbrances, and invoice payments to ensure timely use of grant funds.
- Prepare financial information for Annual Performance Reports (APR), Interim Performance Reports (IPR), and Phase II applications.
- Develop grant budgets, budget narratives, and prepare ED Form 524.
- Prepare budget contracts for Grants Accounting to load approved budgets into the Banner system.
- Serve as the primary liaison with Grants Accounting, Procurement, and Business Affairs to ensure effective grant administration and compliance.
- No virtual work hours.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned or as appropriate.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration.
- Five years of related accounting or finance experience.
- Master's preferred in Accounting or a related field.
- Financial literacy knowledge.
- Proven effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- A Self-starter who can think outside the box on ways to streamline the budget process, with proven effective leadership qualities.
- Knowledge of grant writing and grant management.
