Forklift OperatorAre you looking for a great career, with excellent pay and benefits, and a schedule that allows you to enjoy family and hobbies outside of work?We're a 75-year old, family-owned company passionate about our mission of Impacting Lives through Exceptional Service.Summary: Operate the forklift to perform various material handling duties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities as follows: Other duties may be assigned.* Prior to signing out equipment - performs operations and safety check, including brakes, battery and lift controls.* Signs out equipment by documenting the pre-operational checklist.* Operate forklift and other power equipment that they have been trained on.* Replenish slots from product overflow to their assigned aisles.* Report to front dock to stock incoming freight.* Clean and maintain their assigned aisles.* Separate empty pallets from their areas and maintain acceptable stacking height.* Maintain a clean, safe and orderly workplace.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbersReasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructionsCertificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must be trained and certified on each piece of equipmentOther Qualifications:* Satisfactory work record and attendance.* Must be dependable, reliable, and mature enough to handle equipment safely and sensibly.* Ability to take instruction from supervisor and get along with co-workers.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
