Framing Carpenter

Westbrook, ME | $27 - $36/hr

Position Overview

Aerotek is seeking a skilled and motivated Framing Carpenter to join our growing team in Westbrook, Maine. This role is responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structural frameworks in residential and/or commercial projects. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and experience working efficiently on active job sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and install wood framing for walls, floors, roofs, and ceilings
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications accurately
• Measure, cut, and assemble materials using hand tools and power tools
• Ensure all framing is level, plumb, and square
• Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to meet timelines
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA standards
• Load/unload materials and maintain tools and equipment
• Assist with general carpentry duties as needed on construction sites

Qualifications

• 2+ years of framing or carpentry experience preferred (entry-level candidates with strong work ethic may be considered)
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
• Strong understanding of construction processes and safety practices
• Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying weather conditions
• Reliable transportation to job sites in and around the Westbrook area
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Experience in commercial framing
• Valid driver’s license

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $36.00/hr.
