Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (AWS & Azure)

Position Summary

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for building, supporting, and maintaining cloud infrastructure across Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure . This role focuses on hands‑on delivery, automation, and operational support of cloud platforms, including identity and Single Sign‑On (SSO) integrations. The engineer works under established architectural standards while collaborating with senior engineers, application teams, and security to ensure cloud environments are secure, reliable, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure , including compute, storage, networking, and platform services

• Implement and support Single Sign‑On (SSO) integrations for cloud and SaaS applications using SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect (OIDC)

• Integrate applications with Azure Entra ID (Azure AD) and AWS IAM following documented standards and best practices

• Support identity and access management (IAM) tasks such as role assignments, RBAC, MFA, and conditional access policies

• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, or similar tools

• Assist with hybrid connectivity (VPNs, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect) between on‑premises and cloud environments

• Build and maintain automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure provisioning and updates

• Monitor cloud environments for availability, performance, security, and cost , escalating issues as needed

• Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for infrastructure and authentication issues

• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and configuration standards

• Collaborate with senior engineers and architects on cloud improvements and migrations

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in infrastructure or cloud engineering roles

• Hands‑on experience with AWS and/or Azure in production environments

• Practical experience supporting SSO and identity federation for applications

• Working knowledge of authentication and authorization concepts (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, MFA)

• Experience with Azure Entra ID (Azure AD) and AWS IAM fundamentals

• Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI, AWS CLI)

• Solid understanding of cloud networking and security basics

• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work within established standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate‑level cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect – Associate, Azure Administrator)

• Experience integrating third‑party SaaS applications with SSO

• Exposure to containers or Kubernetes (AKS, EKS)

• Experience supporting enterprise or hybrid environments
