Accounts Payable ManagerJacksonville, Florida, United StatesThe Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's procure to pay activities in our Jacksonville, FL facility, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, reconciling accounts payable to the general ledger, maintaining vendor relationships, and upholding compliance with company policies, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and regulatory requirements.Key responsibilities include overseeing the entire procure to pay process from invoice receipt through payment execution ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness in all transactions, managing and mentoring the accounts payable team, setting clear objectives, evaluating performance, and facilitating professional development to ensure a high-performing team, developing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, establishing accounts and addressing any invoice or payment discrepancies, producing annual 1099's for vendors and subcontractors, assisting in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable, including aging reports, cash flow forecasts, contributing to overall financial management and strategy, reconciling accounts payable and vouchers payable aging reports to general ledger, ensuring the team's work is in adherence to internal controls, company policies, and external regulations affecting the accounts payable function, including auditing processes and maintaining documentation for compliance purposes, managing onboarding vendors to ensure standard terms and conditions are documented and W-9's are in place, managing the schedule of disbursements, optimizing cash flow management while ensuring timely payments to vendors and suppliers, serving as the primary point of contact for resolving complex issues related to accounts payable, including disputes with vendors and internal discrepancies, reviewing vendor invoices to ensure accurate accrual of sales and use taxes, preparing accounts payable accruals for materials received and freight charges incurred but not invoiced at month end close, collaborating in process improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining accounts payable procedures and enhancing overall efficiency, maintaining, replenishing and reconciling petty cash fund as required, and performing other duties as required.Supervision of personnel includes management of Accounts Payable Specialists.Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field strongly preferred, 7+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or related accounting functions, 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience, 2+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing or plant environment, experience with Infor Syteline or similar ERP preferred, experience with Medius a bonus, ability to maintain strong internal and external communication channels to ensure smooth operations within the Accounts Payable function, ability to support organizational change initiatives and business growth aligned with company strategic goals, demonstrated ability to promote and support a positive workplace culture aligned with IEM's organizational values, strong understanding of accounting principles, accounts payable processes, and financial reporting practices, excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders, strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making abilities, proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment, high level of attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure, and commitment to ethical conduct and professional integrity in financial operations.The position is fully on site at our Jacksonville, Florida facilities and will require you to already live in that area. We do not intend to relocate for this role, but may require up to 10% travel to IEM facilities, supplier sites, or for compliance audits or conferences. This position is not available for California residents.
