Contract: 10/26/2026 11/30/2027
Hours: 40 hrs/week

State Expereince highly desired
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Java-based UPHN interfaces for NYS immunization data exchange.
- Work with Spring Boot, Java EE, REST APIs, WSDL/SOAP, and relational databases .
- Support HL7 messaging and provider onboarding/conformance testing.
- Improve system performance, reliability, high availability, and disaster recovery .
- Lead development teams, review requirements, design technical solutions, and provide technical guidance.
- Manage testing, debugging, documentation, release management, and change control .
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, MIS, or equivalent .
- 6+ years software development experience.
- 6+ years Java experience, including Spring Boot/Java EE .
- 6+ years relational database experience Oracle/PostgreSQL preferred.
- US work authorization.
- Must be willing to work onsite in Menands, NY .
Preferred:
- 6+ years Angular/TypeScript & SPA development.
- REST API security/authentication/authorization .
- Git & branching strategies .
- CI/CD experience.
- Healthcare/ HL7 experience is a strong plus.
